Seven new functions
Login – the new version will not require you to complete a registration form, send it to the tax office and wait for approval. DIS+ should work for everyone without waiting. You should be able to log in using your ordinary bank account, e-identity, data mailbox or credentials from the Financial Administration.
Authorising another person to access it (an accountant or tax adviser) – currently, if you want to give me access to DIS, you give me your data mailbox credentials or we arrange a DIS registration for me. In future, you will set everything up yourself without the tax office’s involvement. The person being authorised has a unique 10-digit identification code in their DIS+, which you enter into yours and then assign permissions: for particular taxes only, view-only, or full access. Confirm it all, and that is it!
Pre-filling tax returns and statements. If you have ever completed anything in the EPO application, you know you must enter all your personal or company details again every time. Yet almost any online shop can generate everything from a company registration number. In future, if you choose to submit a return or statement through DIS+, information from ARES and historical details from your earlier filings will be imported automatically. You can then easily edit the details. Tax forms will be interactive and offer 2 types of help – for laypeople and professionals. Completing them should therefore be much easier!
Filing will be possible directly from DIS+ without any further authorisation. You will not need to log into your data mailbox as well.
Payment of taxes and other charges will use a QR code. The tax office even wants to introduce payment gateways (GoPay, etc.) or redirection to online banking. However, it has discovered that intermediary fees would cost a great deal, so this payment method remains in the “plans” category.
If an amount becomes overdue or a deadline approaches, you may receive a reminder by email. I think this is wonderful for keeping track of income tax or road tax advances, which are often paid a little late.
Newly available should also be confirmations of all kinds – for example, confirmation that a tax return has been received, with detailed tracking of its status, or confirmation of tax payment receipt.
The final new function will be the ability to change contact details (email and phone) directly in DIS+ without separately notifying the tax office.

Note The image shown is illustrative only; work on the graphics and design of DIS+ is ongoing.
Although work on the new DIS version is progressing continuously, I do not really expect it to launch right at the start of 2021. Unfortunately, the current COVID situation has also affected its development. Please therefore treat this article mainly as a preview of what we can look forward to. Once it is up and running, I will let you know promptly. 🙂
If you are unsure, do not hesitate to get in touch and we can look at it together. 🙂
