Who qualifies?
The payment covers each dependent child under 18 on 1.8.2022. Expectant parents whose baby is born by 31.12.2022 will also qualify.
The family receives a one-off CZK 5,000 payment for each such child. A further condition is annual family income below CZK 1 million. This means gross income, before credits and other reliefs. It includes employment income (gross wages from an employer), business income and rental income.
How do you apply?
Apply electronically through a web app, signing in with an electronic identity (a chip-enabled identity card, bank identity, etc.). The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs will launch it on 15.8.2022. In the app, enter basic details and confirm a declaration that your gross income in 2021 did not exceed CZK 1 million.
